"I very much appreciated my connection to Women in the Boardroom. The resources and recorded webinars were excellent. The one-on-one calls were inspirational and provided advice and understanding about how I was hindering myself by not using my network appropriately."

My 6 tips for getting on a corporate board:

1) Know why you want to serve & have a plan to get you there

2) Know what boards you are qualified for & be willing to do the work it takes

3) Know the value you bring to a corporate board

4) Have a board portfolio that highlights your accomplishments & achievements & the impact you've had

5) Make sure your personal brand is on point & always bring your "A" game to whatever you do

6) Tell people.  Know who in your network to reach out to along with how, when & what to say.
